While the Secret Service protects the President, Troy and Amber start searching for clues that will help them catch the murderer. But nothing works the way it is planned and Troy saves the President from a second assassination attempt launched by the determined assassin who uses an Abrams tank in his attack. Completely frazzled by the Secret Service's inability to protect him, the President secretly takes Air Force One to a secret location and then orders Troy and Amber to join him and to continue their investigation. With the help of a half-dozen experienced but wacky investigators, Troy and Amber close in on the killer but the bodies keep piling up until they find his main stash of over 100 bodies. Realizing they have stumbled on a murderous monster, Troy and Amber go all in and take big chances to stop the killer. While Troy is in LA to check out a body there, Amber goes on a date with the President--a date that ends in a huge shootout that pits Amber against the assassin--a shootout that Amber wins. The LA body turns out to be alive and the woman who survived the murder attempt was lucky enough to hang on to the murder weapon--a woman's belt. When Troy sees it, he knows he has seen one like it before, but he can't remember where. Back with the investigative team at the President's secret location, Troy learns that he has been invited to dine with the President on a docked aircraft carrier. Turns out Amber and two other women were invited as well. But as Troy boards the aircraft carrier, he sees the three women tied up in chairs on the carrier deck. Troy realizes too late that the trap is for the President but before he can react, the killer raises a pistol and tells Troy goodbye.
